As the Department of Software Engineering, we participated in the Engineering Faculty’s traditional “Pilaf Day and Tree Planting” event again this year. The event was held with great enthusiasm and participation in front of our faculty on November 5, 2024. As new students of the Software Engineering Department, we had the opportunity to meet other departments of our faculty and enjoy a pleasant experience of university life.
The event began with tree planting, aimed at raising environmental awareness. Students from the Department of Software Engineering came together to plant new saplings in the green areas of our faculty during this event, which they attended for the first time. This event was very meaningful in terms of both demonstrating an environmentally conscious approach and strengthening the spirit of solidarity within the faculty.
Following the tree planting, a traditional rice dish was served. Both our students and faculty members shared their rice in a warm atmosphere and had the opportunity to chat with each other. This event provided an important opportunity for software engineering students to get to know each other and bond within the faculty.
As the Faculty of Engineering, this annual event reinforces not only academic achievement but also our faculty’s spirit of solidarity and environmentally conscious approach. As the Department of Software Engineering, we are delighted to participate in such events and will continue to promote environmental awareness and provide meaningful experiences for our students.
