The first computer specialists, who attempted to solve differential equations to model physical phenomena such as nuclear, statistical, and aerodynamic events, programmed the first computers by selecting key positions on a large panel containing keys, where each row represented a line of code in the program. This original mathematical model is still the computer model we use today.

A Software Engineer is a professional who designs software for computer systems used in all fields, primarily in sectors such as aerospace and defense technologies, banking, automotive, and telecommunications, integrates it into the system, and implements it.
What Does a Software Engineer Do?
Software engineers interact with the people who will use the software to understand and analyze their needs. Based on the analysis, they identify the most appropriate application and first plan the backbone of the software. During the coding phase of the planned software, they work together with programmers.
Where Can Software Engineers Work?
Software engineering graduates can work in any sector where computer systems are used and developed. Banking, telecommunications, automotive, hospitals, etc. are examples of sectors where a software engineer can work.
Software Engineering Education Process
The duration of the software engineering program is four years. In the first year of the program, students take fundamental courses in computer science and software, such as physics, mathematics, and basic computer programming. In subsequent years, the curriculum includes core courses in computer science and engineering, as well as software engineering, along with courses in their respective application areas.
